Scoil Eoin Báiste Parents’ Association
Links with the parent body are paramount to success here in Scoil Eoin Báiste. We are very lucky to have an incredible Parents’ Association (PA) who support us in so many different ways.
The PA organise the book rental scheme which is a mammoth task in itself. They come in each summer and organise the books into bundles for each child and always ensure that no child is left without books.
During the year they support us financially with bus trips. The cost of trips and tours can take its toll, but when you add in the cost of the bus it can put it out of reach for some families. Our PA pay for our school tour buses and for other incidental buses throughout the year. This is a fantastic help to the parent body in our school.
The PA also organise the First Holy Communion refreshments. Due to a lack of space in the school, we have had to be creative with our hosting of this event but in a post-Covid world, we want to make it as memorable as we can for all the families involved.
Graduation is the end of the road for a lot of our parents and our PA organise goody bags for all the children in 6th class and host the garden party outside. We have been so lucky with the weather for the last few years and have had lovely enjoyable evenings celebrating with our 6th class families.
So, how do you get involved? Some parents join at the AGM and then some help out when required. We don’t mind what form your support takes as long as you can support us. Come to our quizzes, support our fundraisers, drop in some treats for the Communion party and let us know you are available to lend a hand!
