We were delighted to welcome Seamus Lambe to our school on Wednesday, November 8th. Seamus contacted the school when he read our piece in The Meath Chronicle. Seamus is a gifted writer and has written a few volumes of his poems. He writes about local people, local events and things that have inspired him from further afield.
He has kindly donated copies of his first two books to our 5th and 6th class and popped in to deliver them to us. While he was in he read one his pieces for us and the class were mesmerized. To see someone write about normal things, in normal language, was fantastic for our 5th and 6th class children. Hopefully they will be inspired to put pen to paper in the future!
